Sewing Challenge Part 1

Garment Sewing Challenge: May 2012

Happy Tuesday to you all. So I am beginning to make progress with this challenge. I took some time out yesterday to come up with ideas. One thing I saw on the contest rules is that you can refashion existing garments as long as a sewing machine/hand sewing is involved. This seems to be right up my ally. I love turning ugly, used, worn out things into something beautiful.

I have this dress that I got from the Goodwill for $6.75. It's ok looking but it doesn't have the most flattering look on my body type. So for my challenge I will cut it up and turn that dress into a very trendy skirt. I'm super excited. So stay tuned to follow my journey. Until next time

Garment Sewing Challenge

Garment Sewing Challenge: May 2012

Happy Monday everyone. So I am super excited. I have great news. Well let's hope it's great news and not potential suicide. hahaha. But I decided to join this contest. It's called "Garment Sewing Challenge." Participants have to make one garment that they would be PROUD to wear in public then viewers/the public will vote on it. I'm super excited about it but nervous at the same time. I do think that I am creative enough to do this and I think it'll be a great way to further advertise my blog. Regardless I will be very proud of whatever I sew and I will blog about my progress every step of the way. Until next time :)
