Night Stand: From Old to New

Hello to you all!! I hope everyone had an amazing 4th. I've been a bit absent from my blog but yesterday I worked on a fab-u-lous project. It was super easy and I encourage you all to try it.

I was at a yard sale and stumbled upon this night stand. The guy only wanted $10 for it. After a thorough inspection I determined it was perfect for what I wanted. I'm super excited with the way it came out. I didn't have to strip it & used a black stain. I kept the original handles but sprayed them white..and tada..I got an amazing night stand

Crayon Roll

Happy Tuesday everyone!! Last night I burned the midnight oil trying to finish up my nieces birthday gift. I found this gift idea on Google believe it or not & fell in love. I was beyond amazed how well my first one came out and I can't wait to make many many more. I hope everyone has a very productive day. Until next time

My Art Room

Happy Saturday to you all!!! What a long day this has been. I finally decided to tackle the "purple room".. There is this room that I guess the previous owner used as an Office. for whatever reason they painted the room a dark purple color. Almost like a plum color. The color was way too dark for that small space. You never want to paint a small room a dark color, it'll make it look smaller then what it really is. So I've been putting it off for the longest and decided to finally tackle it today. I tried that new Glidden Duo paint for the first time & I'm a true believer. It's a paint & primer in one. Here are some before and after pics. I am 100% satisfied with the results . This room will be my new art/sewing room!! Yippee

Purse Palooza 2012

Happy Wednesday!!!! I just finished one contest only to begin another contest. This contest is called Purse Palooza 2012. For this contest we are making...drum roll please....a PURSE. I am excited about this because I LOVE purses. I will of course keep you all posted as I make my very first PURSE :)

Garment Sewing Challenge: COMPLETE

Hello to you all!!! I have FINALLY finished my garment for the sewing challenge. I'm very proud of myself for taking this challenge. I'm a beginner when it comes to sewing but I feel like I've learned so much and pushed myself beyond belief..I hope you enjoy my Refashion as much as I do..i cant wait to wear it today as i do all my prep work for Memorial Day. DIY Refashion: Old to New

Hello to you all.. Its been super busy on this end. I have tons of projects lined up. This evening I tried my hand at a refashion. Im doing this sewing challenge and my submission will be a refashion. So tonight I tried my luck at one. It was my first time adding elastic to something. I had a few bumps in the road but I was overall pleased. Hope everyone had a wonderful day. Until next time

New Home...New Projects

Happy Tuesday!! I feel like it has been awhile since I made a posting so let me catch you up. I bought a house!!!! After a billion delays, everything finally went through. I am just beyond happy. New house now equals new DIY projects.
So far Mission #1 was to unpack the kitchen. I kid you not it took me three hours to do this. I had no idea a kitchen can be so time consuming. But I think it turned out quite nicely.
